WB said Colombia needs substantial investments in water infrastructure

Without substantial investments in new and existing water infrastructure and an overhaul of the current institutional framework, the huge potential of Colombia’s water capital will continue to be wasted, according to a new World Bank Policy Brief. Colombia is in the world’s top nine water-rich territories. It has vast water resources, including mountain lakes, aquifers, streams, rivers and moorlands. Yet one-third of its population lives under water stress.
