18 projects in the energy and mining sector line up for their approval by the National Environmental Licensing Authority (ANLA) for their development. The initiatives, classified by the Colombian Government as priority and strategic, are considered as key to economic reactivation. On the oil front, license applications to ANLA were filed by Maurel & Prom, ExxonMobil Exploration, Ecopetrol, Inverpetrol Limited, Noble Energy and Cenit. For mining, the companies awaiting the entity’s endorsement are AngloGold Ashanti (AGA), Mineros, Drummond and Cerro Matoso. In the energy sector, of note, are the auxiliary deviation tunnel for Hidroituango, and the El Tesorito thermoelectric.
