Consumer prices in Colombia fall 0.06% in October

Consumer prices in Colombia fell 0.06% in October, below market expectations, mainly due to a contraction in the prices of education and food, the government reported on Thursday. The variation in October contrasts with an increase of 0.16% in the same month last year, as well as with a rise of 0.32% in September. The main reductions were registered in the education sectors with 2.48%, food and non-alcoholic beverages with 0.32%, clothing, as well as information and communications with 0.13% and accommodation and public services with 0.06%, according to DANE.
