In 2021, Enel-Colombia expects to build two renewable energy projects in northern Colombia. The first one will have an installed capacity of 205 MW from wind energy and the second one 185 MW from solar energy.
With different income distribution projects, 64% of banks' profit from 2019 helped them achieve equilibrium on their balance sheet in 2020, said the national agency for financial oversight.
The national federation of coffee growers will spend $87 million ( COP 25,019 million) to increase fertilisers by coffee-growing families in 2021. The beneficiaries will receive funds for each renewed or established crop.
The Ministry of Agriculture launched a $69 million (COP 200 billion) green business credit line for farmers. It seeks to subsidise projects on agriculture, cattle and agroforestry across 38,000 hectares. Small producers will have a subsidy with an interest rate of 4%, medium 3% and large 2%.
In 2020, the economy shrunk by 6.8%, said DANE. The worst figure since records began in 1905. However, it grew faster than expected during the last quarter of 2020, rebounding consumer spending. From November to December, GDP rose 6% pushed by 17.8% surge in retail activity.
