According to a survey conducted to 300 member companies of the American Chamber of Commerce in Colombia, AmCham Colombia, 72.7% have the resources to purchase vaccines for their workers. 61.4% also plan to offer vaccines, at no extra cost, to their employees' first-degree relatives.
Last month, the Industrial Confidence Index (ICI) increased by 2.2 percentage points (pp) contrasted to the previous month. Likewise, the Commercial Confidence Index surged by 4.5 pp. Surveyed businesses expressed higher expectations for production (6.3 pp) and economic recovery (+4.9 pp). The reopening of the economy in February is associated with this positive change in perception, said Fedesarollo.

Next week, Chinese e-commerce giant, Alibaba, will sign a memorandum of understanding with Ruta N, Colombia's hotbed of innovation, to develop digital training on human capital. This is the firm's first formal appearance in Colombia.
