Gran Colombia Gold published yesterday its full year annual report. Between 2019 and 2020, gold production decreased from 239,991 to 220,194 ounces. However, its operating revenue increased by 20% to $390.9 million. This result is partially explained by an increase in the market gold price. By the end of the fourth quarter of 2020, the gold price reached an average price of 1,875 per ounce, higher than in 2019 ($1,480). In terms of its operating actions, Gold Colombia added an ESG sub-committee of the Board in early 2020 to support its ongoing commitment to ESG initiatives
For the seventh consecutive year, Tigo's 2020 investments exceeded $270 million (Co$ 1 billion), revealed the company in its 2020 annual report. Its consolidated EBITDA was $444 million ( Co$ 1.62 billion). Colombian Procaps confirmed today its merger with Union Acquisition Corp. II after signing a definitive agreement. As a result, the new company expects to be listed on Nasdaq this year. Procaps is currently valued at $ 1.1 billion and expects to reach $436 million in revenue and $105 in profits.
By the end of last year, the total number of micro-businesses closing dropped by 7.3%, from 5.8 million to 5.4 million. In detail, as of October 2020, the total number of closings was at 509.370, but it then decreased to 427.848 as some covid restrictions were eased in December.
