Colombia exports value grows for the first time since January 2020

In February 2021, the value of Colombian exports increased by 0.04% to $ 2,9 billion, revealed DANE. Although fuels and minerals sales fell by 12.9%, other manufactured goods sales rose by 14.4% to $ 653.7 million, followed by food and agricultural at 8% ($ 736.6 million). This is the first time that the total exports value is positive in the past 13 months in Colombia.

Colombia first to have Cemex green cement

Multinational building materials company Cemex is launching a new type of cement that aim to reduce up to 40% the emission of C02 in its production process. Colombia, along with Guatemala, is the first country in Latin American with this new line of products. However, the company expects to expand it to the rest of the region within this year.
