Colombia to produce 12% of energy from renewable sources by 2023

To increase to 12% the share of energy from non-conventional renewable sources, diverse companies plan to increase their green investments. In 2021, Celcia is investing about $349 million (Co$ 1.3 trillion). EPM announced plans to invest between $500 million and $1.5 billion in 40 different projects in the longer term. By 2026 the central government expects 6,180 MW from no conventional sources

EPM revenue rises by 18%

In the first quarter of 2021, Empresas Públicas de Medellín's (EPM) year-on-year operating revenue increased by 18% to $1.5 billion (Co$ 5.6 trillion). Net income totalled $230 million (Co$856 billion) and infrastructure investment $322 million (Co$ 1.2 billion) in the same period. According to EPM, higher commercial operations from its water dam portfolio contributed to this result.
